  70. description of the package and its features, along with instructions for
  71. its installation. This program is very user friendly and all
  72. instructions are included in the program with easily followed prompts
  73. and information screens.

  75. "Computerized Christmas Cards" v1.3 DOS EGA creates animated musical
  76. XMAS cards to be run on IBM/compatible computers. You select from 3
  77. exciting cards, personalize them, and the program saves your card to a
  78. floppy disk. The cards play 10 Christmas carols. This is a great
  79. customer relations device for businesses.

  81. "Computerized Christmas Cards" is a shareware program. This evaluation
  82. version includes all features of the program, and is not crippled in any
  83. way. If you like the program, and wish to use it you are required to pay

  118. ===== Installation =====================================

  120. The installation procedure for "Computerized Christmas Cards" is quite
  121. simple. The package includes a program, "INSTALL.BAT", which automates
  122. the entire process. You will need about 370-K of available disk space
  123. on the hard drive on which you plan to install XMAS CARDS.
  124.  
  125. The exact steps you need to take will depend on how you received XMAS
  126. CARDS.
  127.  
  128.  
  129. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  130.  
  131. To install from diskette(s), you need to perform the following steps.
  132.  
  133.    o  Place XMAS CARDS distribution diskette in the appropriate diskette
  134.       drive.
  135.  
  136.    o  Make sure the drive where your diskette is located is the active
  137.       drive. For example, if your diskette is in drive A you will
  138.       enter A:. To run the INSTALL.BAT program enter INSTALL followed
  139.       by your hard drive letter and a colon. For example, if your
  140.       hard drive letter is C you would enter INSTALL C:.
  141.  
  142.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  143.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
  144.       are actually made to the contents of your hard drive. The
  145.       program will copy the XMAS CARDS files to a directory named
  146.       XMAS.
  147.  
  148.    o  To run the program enter MAKECARD from the XMAS directory. To
  149.       print the documentation, enter GO from the XMAS directory after
  150.       you have installed the program.

  153. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE
  154.  
  155. If you downloaded "Computerized Christmas Cards" from a BBS (or received
  156. it in the form of archive files from some other source), you will need
  157. to perform the following steps.
  158.  
  159.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary
  160.       directory on your hard drive. The procedure for doing this
  161.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  162.       In all likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means
  163.       that you already have the necessary tools and knowledge to
  164.       perform this step. If not, you should be able to obtain
  165.       directions for this from the same source from which you received
  166.       the package.
  167.  
  168.    o  Execute the "INSTALL.BAT" program which you have extracted. For
  169.       example, if the temporary directory into which you have extracted
  170.       the CARDS package is C:\TEMPDIR, you would make sure your hard
  171.       drive is the active drive. For example, if your hard drive is C
  172.       you would enter C:. Then make sure your are in the \TEMPDIR\
  173.       directory by entering CD\TEMPDIR. Then run the INSTALL.BAT
  174.       program by entering INSTALL C:.

  176.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  177.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
  178.       are actually made to the contents of your hard drive. The
  179.       program will copy the XMAS CARDS files to a directory named XMAS.

  181. When you're satisfied that the installation was successful, you should
  182. delete the temporary directory FROM which you installed XMAS CARDS
  183. (C:\TEMPDIR, in the above discussion), including all its contents.

  189.      program enter MAKECARD. Follow the instructions on the screen to

  228. for evaluation purposes for a period not to exceed thirty days. If you
  229. continue using this software after the thirty-day evaluation period,
